This is my version of the 19th century painting ‘Still life, Flowers, and Fruit’ by American painter Severin Roesen. I saw this work at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC, and was captivated by how dark and moody this painting was while also emanating so much brightness. I had to do this in my style (along with one more still life at the same gallery).
